Grafana Splits Log Pricing Into Three Stages, Cuts Kubernetes Costs 33%
What changed
Pricing page hero tagline changed from 'Built for scale. Priced for reality.' to 'Send more, charge more is broken. We are changing it.' A new 'Pricing Philosophy' section was added highlighting Adaptive, Composable, and Open principles.
Logs, Traces, and Profiles pricing model changed from a single $0.50/GB ingested rate to three-component pricing: $0.05 Process + $0.40 Write + $0.10 Retain per GB, enabling customers to optimize costs per stage.
Kubernetes Monitoring host hour rate decreased 33% ($0.015→$0.01/host hour, now $7.20/host) and container hour rate decreased 30% ($0.001→$0.0007/container hour, now $0.50/container). Application Observability host hour decreased 37.5% ($0.04→$0.025/host hour, now $18/host). Frontend Observability sessions decreased 17% ($0.90→$0.75/1k sessions).
